Flying to Auckland and Queenstown with Air New Zealand

We are SO stoked to be flying to Auckland on Air New Zealand. The check in process is seamless as it is completely self-check in from start to finish with no lines, no waiting time, no hassle. We are flying Economy Skycouch, a row of three Economy seats that together create a flexible space for whatever you want it to be. A super soft duvet set with 2 huge pillows and warm down duvet to make sure you snuggle and sleep comfortably.

I was extremely impressed with was the food and entertainment system on Air New Zealand. Known for “The Lord of the Rings” themed inflight safety videos you will love the newest release collaborating with pro-surfers and a few models. Order refreshments, drinks, and water directly from your seat by simply messaging the crew on the touch screen. No need to waste the crews time walking back and forth by dinging a bell (that often goes unheard) and you never go thirsty or hungry!!!!

Welcome to Sky City!!! We couldn’t be happier to arrive well rested and well fed into Auckland. Checking in to The Langham next we were delighted that the view from our suite gave us a view of the infamous Sky Tower and beautiful sunrises daily.

Time to explore!!!! We head to Waiheke island for a Views Vines and Wines by Waiheke Island Wine Tours. Only a 35 minute Fuller’s Ferry ride from the Auckland pier we arrived around noon day to embark on our journey around the island to discover four wineries. Our super friendly and helpful guide Wayne took us to a few secret spots where only roosters rule.

IMG_3300 IMG_3313 IMG_3321IMG_3320IMG_3323It was like the island had a pocketful of sunshine directed on us. With perfect weather we were first taken to Wild on Waiheke – a relaxed and casual boutique cafe and brewery with multi-activity venue providing a diverse range of fun outdoor activities like archery and laser clay-bird shooting amidst their Waiheke vineyard. unnamed

Peacock Sky Vineyard – we learned so much about food pairing and wine at this tasting room and restaurant.  We sampled various wines in conjunction with the day’s selected food pairings featuring a variety of gourmet meals and platters designed to complement Peacock Sky Vineyard wines.

Lunch time!!

We could not have ended our trip more beautifully than at Mudbrick Vineyard Restaurant. Considered a Tuscany on Waiheke Island, this unique mudbrick restaurant offers beautiful plates and prize winning wines amongst the backdrop of olive trees, lavender fields, and a view of the gulf. A dream for any couple to wed at definitely something beautiful to experience.
